There's this couple who were on visit to Spain for the first time. Madrid is indeed a very beautiful city, the famous musuem the Prada, attended a bullfight, lots of famous monuments as you all know Spain ruled half the world during the height of it's colonial power. To top it all they decided to go to a typical restaurant and asked for local dishes. The waiter suggested cured ham, pork ribs and a few other typical dishes which he would offer to tourist but they insisted that that they wanted a dish that the locals would eat. The waiter then said,
" I think I have just the dish that you would like to try which we normally offer only to the locals".
After a while the waiter came back with two oval shape roasted objects, rather big, generous portion for each one. The couple, curious asked what the dish was about and the waiter answered back saying that it would be best that only after eating it that he would reveal the secret of the dish. After eating, they were really satisfied because it was really very tasty. And so they were curious like mad about the origin of the dish. The waiter came over quietly told then "Cojones de torro" or bull testicles from the bullfight after the bull has been defeated and killed. They were surprised but happy that they had tasted such a local delicacy.
The following day, they went back to the same place and on seeing them the waiter ordered the same menu' for them and they again enjoyed the meal. At the end of the visit of Spain, they were really happy about the whole visit and being the last day, they decided to go back to taste the local delicacy in the same place. This time, the waiter was not too happy to offer the same dish but since they insisted he came back with 2 dishes but the "cojones" were miniature. Not happy the couple asked for an explanation. The Waiter replied "Senor the torero (bullfighter) does not win all the time, no?"
